Our History ![]() Joseph Lombardi Sr. started his career in the food industry over 70 years ago, beginning as a butcher in Clifton, NJ. In the mid 1960's, he made the switch into the deli business, purchasing a deli in Elizabeth NJ. In the late 1970's, he purchased The Bundle of Rubble restaurant in Randolph, NJ. Business went well there, but it had always been a dream to own something akin to the Adam Todd. In 1977, his dream came true when he and his wife Helen, had the opportunity to make the purchase in Byram. Their children, namesake Joseph Lombardi and daughter Nancy Lombardi Pryduluk were always involved in the business and now they proudly continue the tradition and dedication to excellence started by their parents at The Adam Todd. "We've been through some different phases here," Pryduluk says. In the 1980's the family closed the dining room and went strictly with catering. Though the catering and special events were thriving during that time, so many people would ask, "Why is the dining room closed?" Pryduluk recalls. At their customers calling, they decided to start holiday meals. So they opened for Mother's Day, Easter and Thanksgiving. "With an extensive hot and cold buffet consisting of professionally prepared culinary extravagances, the holiday feasts are something to behold," Lombardi says. Currently the Adam Todd offers a Fabulous Sunday Brunch, celebrating our 8 year and going strong. |
